In 2024, there are still billions of women living without full legal equality. Social change often begins with legal change, and Equality Now uses the power of the law to create enduring equality for women and girls everywhere. They work to tackle laws that treat people differently on the basis of sex and/or gender, end sexual exploitation, end sexual violence, and remove forms of violence or ritual discrimination, primarily committed against girls and women, that have become culturally normalized.
